The Swedish branch of IFA is delighted to invite you to a seminar on current
and future dispute resolution mechanisms in the area of international
taxation. Important changes have taken place during the past years in the area
of dispute resolution. Many tax treaties now include binding mandatory
arbitration procedures; the Members States of the EU have adopted a directive
on dispute resolution with several novel mechanisms, and the UN is working
on a handbook on dispute avoidance and resolution. While these
developments were needed in view of the constant increase in cross-border
tax disputes and the changes implied by the BEPS project, the work on Pillars 1
and 2 could require further evolutions in the area of dispute prevention and
resolution.
During this seminar, current and future dispute resolution mechanisms will be
discussed by Sophie Chatel (OECD), Marlies de Ruiter (EY), Jasna Voje
(European Commission), and Ingela Willfors (Swedish Ministry of Finance).
The seminar is free of charge, and will be held digitally on 18 March 2021 between 12:00 and 13:00 CET.
Registration and information: registration by email to [email protected]. The seminar will be held digitally, and a link will be sent the day before the seminar.
